Today was another slow day of decreasing Josiah's fluid. The surgeon saw Josiah this morning and decided that he needed to lose more fluid before trying to close his chest. If he loses enough fluid tonight, they might be able to close his chest completely tomorrow.
At around 11:30 this morning, they were able to pace him out of his high heart rate. The rest of the day his heart rate was around 123 bpm. It's so nice to see it lower.
Thanks to WestJet I didn't need to make myself dinner tonight.
We had a nurse today whom we last had in April. She told me this when I called her this morning before seeing her. She must have recognized Josiah's name. She said she had thought of us recently and wondered how we were doing. It was nice to see her again.
I'm looking forward to more progress tomorrow.
Thanks so much for your support and prayers everyone!
Blessings,
Elizabeth
hello Elizabeth and Graham,
ReplyDeleteGod's richest blessings. May you and Isaac be refreshed each morning after a good night's sleep and be in tip top form!
Trust in Him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Psalm 62:8.
In the multitude of my thoughts within me Thy comforts delight my soul. Psalm 94:19.
Through our prayers we become closer to God. In the name of Jesus, you will have Josiah awake and in your arms again soon. Thank you God, our most Heavenly Father, for constant guidance for the doctors, nurses and all the others looking after Josiah and for the lowering of his heart rate. May the calmness of the Holy Spirit encompass precious Josiah allowing Josiah to get rid of his excess fluid gradually in a straightforward manner.
I pray in the name of Jesus that Josiah's chest will be closed up skilfully and perfectly, when it is safe to do so, and Josiah will heal beautifully.
God, please bless all those people upholding Josiah before You in prayer for his complete healing, and the kind people providing meals and companionship at Ronald McDonald House, and I give You the thanks, praise and glory.
Yours in love and admiration, your auntie Julia.
Dear Graham, Elizabeth, Issac and Little Josiah,
ReplyDeleteContinuing to pray for God's power to be displayed among you. During these long days "cast ALL your care upon Him for He cares for you" Praying for EVERYTHING that concerns you.
With love, M
Elizabeth and Graham
ReplyDeleteWe have been following your blog faithfully each day; what a roller coaster time it has been? Little Josiah is your miracle baby, a fighter, a blessing from God.
We thank God for such an excellent and amazing medical team.
Josiah is constantly in our prayers and we pray that he will not require any more surgery and that God’s plan is now for healing.
We also pray that God will continue to give you both strength and rest.
It is good that you have the support of Josiah’s grandparents (especially for Isaac) and the wider family circle at this time. Our thoughts, so far away across the ocean are constantly with you one and all.
Thank God for answered prayer. Be strengthened in knowing we are all praying for you. The God of all comfort supplies us with – strength to face today, hope to face tomorrow, and peace to face the future. Psalm 55 v.22
With lots of love and prayers.
Uncle Moffitt and Auntie Violet.
