It actually takes work at this time of night to remember what happened during the day. Oh yes, it was rainy most of the day so this was an inside day. I also saw snow late this afternoon but thankfully it didn't stick around.
Josiah's days are becoming more predictable and uneventful. This is good. There are always times during the day when I hear his loud cries but thankfully there is a lot less crying than there used to be.
Isaac is full of beans - dancing beans. He also loves stories. Someone had recommended the book, "Blueberries for Sal" so we picked it up from the library yesterday and read it today. The library had an audio kit and Isaac enjoyed the novelty of listening to the story on cd and turning the page when he heard the chime.
At bedtime I usually ask Isaac what song he would like me to sing to him. The other night he requested, "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus." This is a song that I remember my mother singing to me when I was little and I knew I wanted to sing it to my child so it was nice that he asked for it.
Isaac built a sort of leaning tower out of blocks today and told me that it was a tower built on the sand (in reference to the song and verse about the wise and foolish men). While Isaac is often Mr. Serious in public he is Mr. Drama at home and needs to act things out. He showed me with his body how the tower fell down. He always replays his stories with the biggest eyes.
Josiah ate a good supper tonight. It was so nice to see him open his mouth wide for the food I was giving him.
I was doing some paperwork tonight and reading Josiah's first discharge summary from when he was one week old. I never remember reading or hearing the following: "There are three pulmonary veins from the left lung and two from the right lung connected to a confluence ..." If you Google pulmonary veins you'll read that humans usually have four of these, two from each lung. I remember Josiah's cardiologist telling me that only a trickle of blood was getting through his lower left pulmonary vein to the heart due to the stenosis. I'm not sure if the extra vein was a typo but if you're going to have pulmonary vein stenosis it sounds like a pretty good idea to have an extra vein for blood to flow through! I'll have to ask his doctor about this. It's similar to how nice it is to have two superior vena cava if one of them is going to become occluded with a clot! Gifts. Thank you Lord!
Thank you for your prayers!
Blessings,
Elizabeth

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father
of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
Dear Josiah it is wonderful to see you looking so good and doing so well.

Heavenly Father we are so thankful that we can come to you as sons and daughters and know that you hear and meet all our needs according to your riches in glory by Christ Jesus our Lord. We praise you that you have given us authority in the name of Jesus to cover Josiah and to release him to experience all the blessings that you have for him. Oh how thankful we are for the blood that was shed on Calvary’s cross that gives him the protection and the victory, for it has within it the power of the life of our Lord Jesus Christ. Again we are grateful for the scriptures that give us the assurance of all you are and what you have done and continue to do for Josiah, so that by it you will be glorified. The scripture says “you sent your word and healed them” Ps 107:20 and “by His stripes we were healed” 1Peter 2:24. We ask you Lord to manifest your works and your glory through Josiah as you did when you healed the man who was born blind; when you raised Lazarus from the dead and when you turned the water into wine. John 2:11, 9:3 11:4. You are our God and you alone are worthy to be worshiped, for you are the self existent, self sustaining and eternal God. We praise you for your works of creation, providence and redemption. We give you thanks for your mercy, grace and all your provisions. It is you alone who has created, sustained, redeemed, and empowered Josiah for life and godliness. What a privilege it is to place Josiah in your loving and merciful arms of grace where he is kept safe from every evil force and prepared and equipped for your will and purpose. Lord we rejoice in your anointing, blessing and perfecting of Josiah’s life and body. Continue to fill him with your Holy Spirit so that as his days “so shall his strength be”. Deut 33:25. Lord we are looking to you, even as “his angels always behold your face on his behalf” Matt 18:10. We stand together in faith and trust you to complete your work in his body and spirit, so that the power of your most glorious name will be known to all.

will He withhold from that walk uprightly”. Psalms 84:11
