A friend dropped by this morning. It was lovely to see her and catch up. Our neighbours also dropped in this afternoon. The boys were blessed with Easter gifts from our guests.
I finally managed to make our room livable again. We've been storing our empty oxygen canisters in front of our dresser for too long. The stroller which calms down Josiah has also been at the foot of our bed. The health and safety committee would have needed to write us up. Thankfully the trip hazards are no more (at least in our bedroom - I won't mention the state of our basement but I will certainly thank God that we have a basement).
My dear mother blessed us with a delicious supper tonight.
Yesterday, on Easter Sunday, after returning from church, I made up Josiah's final 24-hour feeds using my breast milk. As of today he is on full formula. I thank God for helping me to persevere with the pumping while we were at the hospital. I'm so happy that he was able to have my milk all this time.
Tonight Isaac brought in a blanket to Josiah's room and lay down on the chair so that he could watch a video with Josiah. For those of you wondering why Josiah is in just a diaper in the photo, he gets very hot and sweaty. He usually wears clothes but often in the evening before bed we let him play with his feet (and any wire or tube he can pull).
Josiah seems to be getting stronger each day. He's still having times when he's very happy. Today he seemed to scrunch up his nose more when he was happy.
Thank you for your prayers!
Blessings,
Elizabeth
Psalm 16:7-9
I will bless the Lord who guides me;
even at night my heart instructs me.
I know the Lord is always with me.
I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.
No wonder my heart is glad, and I rejoice.
My body rests in safety.
My body rests in safety.
