Phenomenal

We had a great day today!  The OT and Speech and Language Pathologist came this morning and they said how great Josiah looked.  Josiah was showing off his eating and drinking skills.  We moved from feeding him liquid with a spoon to feeding him liquid with a small medicine cup.  He has now graduated to trying Puffs and baby cereal bars.  They think he may just be bored and not interested in the purees any more so we'll focus on what he wants to eat.  Thankfully I now have better alternatives to Cheesies, though they may remain his favourite (I won't be buying them again any time soon.)

I was speaking with a researcher from a hospital today.  I gave her the basics on Josiah and I think her exact words were, "It's phenomenal he's still alive."  She is working with a research study on Pulmonary Vein Stenosis so she should know what she's talking about.

I think Josiah is officially starting to wave.  I've been wondering if this is what he's been trying to do the last couple of days but today it seemed more obvious.  We'll keep practicing this new skill.

Thank you for your prayers!  God has done great things for us and we are very thankful!

Blessings,

Elizabeth

Psalm 116:1-2
I love the Lord, for he heard my voice;
he heard my cry for mercy.
Because he turned his ear to me,
I will call on him as long as I live.
