Feeling better

It would be embarrassing to admit how long I was in bed today.  It suffices to say that I felt well rested when I arose from my nap.  It seems like my cold is heading in the right direction but it looks like Isaac may be starting a cold.

Sadly, I missed out on seeing some aunts today who were planning to visit.  It would have been lovely to have them here but I cancelled due to my cold.  Isaac also missed his library program.

We're submitting our income tax forms online tonight.  Graham actually worked on them weeks ago but we just received a letter we needed about Josiah yesterday.

Isaac's cousins came over before school this morning to present Josiah with a gift.  He now has a swing that we will set up outside.  We'll take some photos when we put it up.  I hope he likes swinging in the breeze.

We're setting up a telephone call with Josiah's cardiologist.  It sounds like they are open to doing a full reassessment of Josiah to see what is happening with his veins.
"Here is the church, here is the steeple ..."
This may involve an echo, cardiac catheterization, and other imaging under anaesthesia.  We have a few questions for the doctor before we decide if we want Josiah to go through this.  Please continue to pray that we would have the wisdom to make the right decision.  If we decide to have the reassessment and that goes smoothly, the information obtained would determine whether or not he is eligible for the research study and would help us decide if we want him to participate.

Thanks so much for your prayers!

Blessings,

Elizabeth

1 Peter 1:3-9
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

  2. Elizabeth and Graham: We are praising and praying for this new avenue. At one point "we" could not see into the future this far and now we can once again throw ourselves into our Father's arms and trust Him for this new door opening. Yes, we trust and thank Him to cast away all fears. The pics are absolutely a joy. Doesn't Josiah look more like a little boy? He always looks so good in his photos and his eyes always look 'healthy', and so we have the faith to believe that God is creating the good health on the inside as well. "Faith is the eseence of things unseen, the substance of things hoped for." Please God, no colds now. Much love.
