A good day

It was a good day today.  Friends helped with Isaac in the morning and afternoon.  I was able to get to bed at a decent time last night and the boys slept well so I didn't feel exhausted today.  I think this is going to be manageable, even with less help.  Thankfully Isaac has a nap in the afternoon.

I was able to get Josiah on his mat (and his tummy) both in the morning and late afternoon.  I think that may have tuckered him out because he was sleeping for his 6:00 PM feed.  I skipped the morphine at 6:00 PM but I did give him Benadryl because he was itchy.  He even had a couple of regular BMs today which was a nice surprise as they have always been explosive since we had to start giving him PEG to help him because of the morphine (sorry if this is too much information).

The Christmas tree is now in the basement.  We had planned to do it the other night but it didn't happen.

I spoke with our local nurse practitioner today.  We may try to get Josiah's blood tested to see what his haemoglobin level is.  We may be able to optimize it by giving him a blood transfusion.  This should help his oxygen saturation levels and hopefully help him to be more comfortable.

Graham had a good first day back at work.  Thanks so much for your prayers for this transition.  So far so good!

I'm heading to bed.

Blessings,

Elizabeth
