Isaac was sick today. He was coughing and had a high fever and he threw up instead of napping. He was content to rest on the couch by my mom while I (Elizabeth) went to the doctor and ended up with antibiotics to hopefully alleviate my persistent cough. We're praying for fast recoveries for the two of us and we're praying that Graham and Josiah will not catch what we have.
Josiah had a good day with lots of time out of his crib. The sun was shining in his window so he sat on his nurse's lap and played with toys in the sun. We've been able to keep Josiah's nose prongs on without taping the right cheek. It's lovely just to put my cheek to his and feel his skin. Thankfully his skin looks much less red now.
We received a special letter with hugs from Columbia from our friend's mother who is praying for Josiah. Our friends translated it from Spanish. It's amazing to know that there are people throughout the world who are praying for Josiah.
A kind neighbour dropped by with some muffins today. We are surrounded by caring people.
Thank you for praying for us! We are blessed.
Blessings,
Elizabeth
Graham and Elizabeth we will be praying for speedy recoveries for all of you. You are teaching us to be thankful for the little things Elizabeth, like the sun shining in a window, and the feel of skin on skin, we take so many things for granted. This blog not only helps us to pray specifically for your needs it reminds to live every moment with a grateful heart. Rest well now. xoxo

Hello Elizabeth and Graham.
ReplyDeleteI have set the LORD always before me; because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth; my flesh also shall rest in hope.
Psalm 16 v 8 & 9.
Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise. Jeremiah 17 v 14.
May the love of Jesus always flow in your home creating a beautiful, comforting, healing, uplifting atmosphere.
I pray in Jesus’ name that Isaac is touched and his temperature lowers to normal and his nausea and coughing stops and he is miraculously healed, and Elizabeth your coughing subsides and stops and your chest is clear and healthy. In Jesus’ name, Josiah’s heart valves strengthen and work excellently, his pulmonary veins become normal as they widen and have the correct elasticity and work perfectly, allowing Josiah to breathe deeply and effortlessly, increasing his oxygen saturation levels. All blood clots become smaller and disappear and Josiah becomes healthy and strong. God protect Graham, Josiah, nurses, relatives and all visitors to your home from viruses etc. and keep everyone healthy and happy.
It was lovely Elizabeth that you could and can place your cheek next to Josiah’s tender cheek. I am sure he felt and feels comforted by this closeness. It is really good to know that Josiah laughed at the dog puppet's antics. I was gladdened to hear that Josiah enjoyed tasting pears. Elizabeth, may you always know that God is always with you in the presence of the Holy Spirit and you are never really alone even during your “Solo” time of responsibility in the afternoon before Graham returns home. You are to be highly commended Elizabeth for managing so well, and may you and Graham continue to grow in strength in all areas of your life. I pray that one day Josiah will only require normal infant care. I have fond memories of the following children’s hymn.
God is always near me,
Hearing what I say;
Knowing all my thoughts and deeds,
All my work and play.
God is always near me,
In the darkest night,
He can see me just the same
As by midday light.
God is always near me,
Though so young and small;
Not a look, or word, or thought,
But God knows it all.
Love and prayers from your auntie Julia.
