Stable day

It was wonderful to be in a worship service this morning.  The challenge at the end of the message was to make my first thought whenever I meet someone to be, "Here is someone who is infinitely valuable and precious to God."  It's called the Luke 15 Challenge because that chapter includes three stories that show God's love for us.  I didn't quite rise to the challenge when an older boy took Isaac's toys.  Isaac did not know what was going on but he did want his zebra back and mommy delivered.  I'll try the challenge again tomorrow.  Actually, the sermon was about our motivation for sharing the good news.  It's all about Jesus.

Josiah was stable today.  I gave him a bath with his nurse and learned some more things about giving him his medications and feeds.  The nurse said I should just go and buy a cheap stethoscope so perhaps I'll do that tomorrow.  I won't know until tomorrow morning if they were able to schedule Josiah for the cath and MRI tomorrow.  It will be done as soon as possible.

It was great to spend the weekend with Graham and Isaac.  Thanks for your prayers for all of us!

Blessings,

Elizabeth

  1. Hi Elizabeth! I love reading your updates and following Josiah's progress. I have an extra stethoscope you can have. I might be in K-W tomorrow so I could drop it off at your place, or if you want it sooner I can mail it to you (at RMH?). Let me know!

  3. Good Morning Elizabeth,

Praying for all of you, but especially, Josiah today. May God guide the doctors' hands as they are able to perform those two procedures today. Praise God for Josiah's 6 month birthday!

  4. Good morning Elizabeth,
It's a cool, windy, drizzling day in Waterloo. It was a very busy weekend at WPA. We had our ladies Mug and Muffin on Saturday morning where Janice F told her amazing story. And Elizabeth we prayed for you and Josiah. And of course Graham and Isaac. It was so precious to hear Wendy pray for you, 100 women lifted their voice in agreement as she took you to our Father's throne. It was a very precious moment. I became aware on Saturday morning how many women are reading the blog and praying for your family. "And so now carry one anothers burdens"

Pastor Kathy walked down the aisle to Glen on Saturday. Just beautiful. there were alot of tears shed on Saturday:)

This afternoon we're hoping to take the Massai choir to Menchies. Jeremy told us they are not accustomed to cold food (no refrigeration) so this should be quite the experience....

Today we are celebrating (a day late) Josiah's 6 month birthday,
What a mile marker for you all! Praying also as we anticipate these important upcoming tests.

"As your day is Elizabeth, so is your strength" Hugs, M

  5. We praise God for Josiah's half-year-birthday and for His strength to see you through. We know that 'He,who has begun a good work, is faithful to complete it' and thus, faithful to Josiah to complete what has been started with the medical staff. Amidst all of these fevers, heart rates, oxygen levels, obstructions and....medications and medications, it is comforting and awesome to know that God is "in" all of that. God be with you and may He always give you peace and comfort to sleep soundly.
    Love, J. E.
