A happy birthday

Josiah moaned a lot today, barely slept, and was restless.  Thankfully, he fell asleep around 7:30 tonight.  The sat monitor went off around 3:30 AM last night.  It took me a while to wake up and get to Josiah's room.  As soon as I arrived at his crib and shone the flashlight he gave me a huge smile and laugh while he held in his hands the sensor that had previously been on his big toe beneath a sock.  As I tell Isaac, I have two "cheeky, cheeky boys."

My best guess is that Josiah's system has not enjoyed the Pediasure today.  Hopefully I'm wrong about that.  It was probably unwise to start him on it while he still has his cold.  I switched back to formula at his 6:00 PM feed tonight.  I'll wait until his cold is gone to try the Pediasure again.  He was on it for a full day.  Grandpa had his work cut out for him this afternoon, trying to keep Josiah happy.

Isaac and I had a good time at the library this morning.  The next program starts in July.

Mom took me out for a birthday lunch and I had calls and visitors singing me "Happy Birthday."  Graham and I were originally hoping to go out to a pizza place for dinner but when it didn't work out, I chose a pizza I wanted from a restaurant's online menu (chicken, sundried tomatoes, roasted red peppers, and feta) and Graham picked it up on the way home.  It was very tasty.  I also picked up some delicious looking desserts to enjoy with Graham on the couch watching an episode of a BBC show.  We had a new nurse tonight who is getting to know Josiah and vice versa.  It will be nice when we are all well acquainted and we can leave Josiah with her alone.

God has been so good, gracious, and merciful to me over the past year.  I'm so glad I was able to celebrate my birthday with my husband and two sons.

I expect I won't be able to post a photo tonight (I always try after I write).  I suspect it's because I have a million tabs open (I think Graham would go crazy if we used the same computer).  If I close them and reboot my computer it would probably work but I'm going to head to bed instead.

Thanks so much for all of your prayers!

Blessings,

Elizabeth

Psalm 34:18
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
