We made it to church this morning. We were late but thankfully the singing hadn't finished. I think Josiah likes the music. It was nice to be able to chat with a few people before heading home.
Friends from church brought supper over and we all enjoyed it together. It was so lovely to have a visit with them. They also surprised us with gifts for the boys. Their daughter Alexa turned 10 years old last month and instead of asking for gifts for herself she asked her friends for donations to give Josiah gifts. Wow! She is one very special girl. Isaac received a Thomas the Tank Engine backpack that is extra special as it belonged to Alexa's brother.
Alexa's classmates wrote letters to Josiah and they have been praying for him. The letters were all very touching and it was a joy to read them. Many of the children talked about how they had seen God work in other situations. Thank you for the encouragement!
We've changed Josiah's schedule slightly. Instead of a 9:00 PM feed we given the feed at 9:30 PM and then flush the line at 11:00 PM giving both his medications that were previously scheduled for 10:00 PM and 12:00 AM. This means we only have to check his pop once in the evening at 9:00 PM. I always hope he won't wake up when I put the stethoscope on his tummy and he almost always sleeps through it or falls right back to sleep. I also now attach the oximeter sensor to Josiah's toe after he is asleep. If I put it on when he's awake, he pulls it off.
Thanks so much for your prayers! It will be nice to have Graham home tomorrow.
Blessings,
Elizabeth
Matthew 11:28-30
28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
