I have a few minutes before I need to feed Josiah so I'm going to try to post quickly as there are still a number of things on my to-do list.
Josiah was happy when he woke up. He gave me proud smiles when I found him with both restraints off his arms, holding his oxygen tube. He also had wonderful smiles for his aunt and his Grandma and Grandpa this morning. He has one amazing bashful smile; he gives a huge smile with his eyes bright and then he looks up and turns his head away, looking very happy. It's hard to explain but it's quite endearing.
He was in the stroller quite a bit today. He did love his aunt's cuddles and he loved his bath. He wasn't too excited about food today, although his cereal in the morning is usually a winner.
Isaac's been busy claiming his territory but he's gone on the potty lots of times and he even surprised both of us by depositing more than pee in the potty.
I think that sums up today's excitement. We did receive a follow up call from SickKids to ask if we are using the lock box they gave us to hold our medicine. We are using it to store some of our medicines but we have too many to fit. I certainly think more about medicine safety since reading the statistics they gave me about the number of children who need emergency help because they get into medications. The 4D section at SickKids initiated this study after a sibling of a heart patient consumed some heart medication.
I made some yummy roasted sweet potatoes and beets tonight. I have a tendency to overcook things but tonight I discovered that I love the taste of overcooked roasted sweet potatoes. Delicious!
Our nurse left a little late tonight as he wanted to finish Josiah's feed. I tried to encourage him to leave. I said he had done enough work all day. He said, "This isn't work." I'm going to take that to mean that he enjoys taking care of Josiah - he certainly seems to. We thank the Lord for our great nurses.
Okay, my time is up. Thank you so much for your prayers.
Blessings,
Elizabeth

Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God's presence.
