Laughter

Our great day started with Isaac having a dry bed when he woke up this morning.  The book I read said to stop all diapers so he's been wearing just his underpants to bed for the last three nights.  The first morning there was a little wetness, the second morning there was a lot of wetness and this morning he was dry.  Isaac usually woke up with full diapers.  He also made it through his nap today without being wet (around two and a half hours).

I did clean up two small drops on the floor late this afternoon.  It had been a long time since he'd gone to the potty (I decided not to put the timer on) and he was very excited and focused about the game he was playing.  He called me and then he had this look on his face like he knew he couldn't make it to the potty a few metres away.  My sweet boy thought to take the tupperware container that he had in his hand and hold it between his legs.  I was able to pick him up and get him to the potty on time (minus two drops which were worth it for the laugh he gave me).

Two of my nieces came by to see Isaac this morning before school.  We were all happy to see them.

I was reading to Isaac from an ABC book.  The letter 'U' was about being unselfish.  I asked Isaac the following question from the book:  "Does God want us to be selfish or unselfish?"  He answered, "Mommy, you choose."  Another question was "Who loves you more than your parents."  He seems quite convinced that Grandpa loves him more than his parents.  He does have two wonderful Grandpas.

I think Josiah's day was a little better than yesterday.  He has times when he's happy and alert and other times when he seems really out of it and he's lethargic or unhappy.

Graham was at a meeting tonight and he left at 6:45 PM.  It was nice to be completely comfortable with putting both boys to bed and knowing I would be fine by myself (while knowing who to call if there were any surprises).

Thank you so much for your prayers and support!

Blessings,

Elizabeth

Romans 8:38
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love.  Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow - not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love.  No power in the sky above or in the earth below - indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Heavenly Father we come to you in childlike faith with praise and thanksgiving for all your loving-kindness and tender mercies. How blessed we are to be Your children and to have You as our Father. We come through the name of our blessed Saviour Jesus Christ our Lord who stands in Your presence on our behalf. It is by the power of the Holy Spirit in accordance with your precious word that we beseech You on behalf of little Josiah Faulkner. May your mercy, truth and power continue to be his refuge. Manifest afresh your glorious power and revelation in Josiah’s life and body, making known to all, your wonders and the exceeding greatness of who You are. Our hope and confidence is in you alone, for apart from You we are weak and helpless. Please keep the eyes of our spirit open to the risen Christ, the foundation for everything we receive. Amen!
