Josiah was up a lot last night. He kept ringing off the sat monitor so I eventually just turned it off and sat on the chair beside his crib. For the most part he was calm and wide awake. It's a little worrisome leaving him wide awake in the crib if I'm sleeping in the next room as I envision him pulling off his tapes and tube, even with thick socks on his hands. Graham picked up the elbow splints we'd ordered from a pharmacy. They are different than what we thought they would be so we're not sure if they will work. We're trying them out tonight to see if they keep Josiah's hands from getting to his face and don't frustrate him too much in the process.
The physiotherapist came this morning. She was very impressed with Josiah. He was better for her than he's ever been before. He was content to sit on her and on the floor with his chin down and arms forward (with support) and he also let her challenge him by moving him from side to side. She put him on his tummy on the mat and after all his mat work he was still able to go in the exersaucer for five minutes. He cried once when he was mad but he didn't moan.
He had a good day in respect to his comfort and behaviour. It's sort of weird because he seems to be doing better than ever in many respects but his colour, sats, and breathing at times seems to be worse than usual. He was very pale and blue today.
Our nurse plays well with Josiah and he read him books and tried to keep him stimulated. He noticed that Josiah's nostrils were dry and suggested we put something on them.
I love hide and seek with Isaac! He emptied a bin of toys, put his head inside the bin and said, "Mommy, find Isaac." So, I looked for him and eventually found him. Then, I put my head inside the bin and told him to find me. He was beside me at the time. He got up and went to the kitchen and said, "Not in the kitchen." Then he walked down the hall and said, "Not in baby's room." He eventually found me too.
Thank you so much for your prayers!
Blessings,
Elizabeth
Ephesians 2:8-10
God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
