Sorry Goliath

I had the car today.  I dropped in at my sister-in-law's home where Isaac had a little play time before we went to see my friend and her new baby who live nearby.  Babies are so small!  This one is very cute and he had the biggest yawns.  I just wanted to keep holding him but it needed to be a short visit as I hadn't made up Josiah's milk and Isaac needed his nap.  I now make up a 24-hour supply of the milk and formula mixture before his noon feed.  It's nice to remove this activity from the already busy evening routine.

Isaac was acting out David and Goliath with Graham tonight.  Goliath (Graham) fell down on cue and then our Isaac came over to him and said, "Sorry Goliath" in his sweet voice.  I don't think our Children's Bibles explain what happens to Goliath after he falls down.

Josiah's BMs seem to be back to normal, thankfully.  He also ate very well today and enjoyed his Grandpa time this afternoon.  He had some great smiles and laughs tonight when I was tickling him and also earlier today when I was showing the nurse how Josiah likes to go high up in the air.  I really want to catch his beautiful laughter on video but that hasn't happened yet.

Tonight Graham and Isaac had their milk and Bible time in Josiah's room.  They sat down on the chair beside the crib and Isaac said, "Baby not sick."  I wonder what all goes through his head.

I'm tired so I'll say goodnight.   Thank you so much for your prayers and support.  I am sorry to the long list of people to whom I owe email responses.  I don't know when/if I'll get to them any time soon.

Blessings,

Elizabeth

2 Corinthians 12:8-9
Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away.  Each time he said, "My grace is all you need.  My power works best in weakness."  So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.

  1. Elizabeth and Graham: The picture is worth more than a thousand words here ... Josiah with his legs in the air! What a blessing to see! That tells me more than words can, that he is making progress.

    My prayer is:

Lord Jesus, we trust you and are amazed each time we see progress in Josiah's growth and development. We are encouraged and blessed by all the things that Josiah can do. We, his family, continue to place our hope in you, have confidence and trust, that you do all things well. We keep coming to you, asking you, dear Lord and our only Saviour, to heal Josiah completely. We trust you to complete all the plans and purposes of your will for Josiah's life here on earth, and that they will be done just as we know your will for him will be done in heaven. We see, by faith, far more than we see with our natural eyes! Thank you for this gift of faith. We ask you again, for every blessing you have provided for healing, the development of spiritual and physical life for Josiah here on earth, according to your perfect plans and purposes for him in heaven. We know that we see only in part, understand only some of who you are and what you want to do, but our confidence comes not from anything in us, but from the working of your Holy Spirit, whom you have said, works in us according to same power that raised Your Son, our Saviour from the dead.

So whatever is happening here, we ask, trust, believe and are fully assured that your will will be done here on earth as it is in heaven. Lord Jesus, out Great High Priest, hear our prayers. We ask you to bring to us, by Your Holy Spirit, a greater revelation and experience of Almighty God, in Whose presence You are seated, interceding for us until our walk, work and worship here on earth is done, so that we may, one day, enter Your very presence, to worship and adore You forever - then, not by faith, visions and hope, but in reality experiencing all the blessings of what only Jesus could do for us.

Our hope and confidence, our God and Heavenly Father, is placed in these words, "Jesus became a priest, not by meeting the physical requirements of belonging to the tribe of Levi, but by the power of a life that cannot be destroyed.", as given to us in your holy word, in the Book to the Hebrews.

Thank you, God, through our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen.

And now a word to those of you who have managed to read to the end of all this. This is the "new" system we have through Christ. We place our trust in Him as our Great High Priest. We trust, with unswerving faith, that He hears us, and blesses us according to the will of God who absolutely knows what He is doing even when we do not! May you be blessed today!

    Love,

    Grandpa F.
